Introduction

We can offer composition of music in a range of styles from orchestral to electroacoustic, and house to hip-hop. We are proud to be able to call upon one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date sound library collections in the industry, including the award winning Vienna Symphonic Library and East West’s Symphonic Orchestra / Symphonic Choir.

Of course, having all of these sounds at our disposal means nothing unless the music YOU want is written effectively: and that is where Derek comes in! Having composed for the media over the past 4 years (Quizcall, Quizcall on Five, The Great Big British Quiz, The Great Big Quiz on Five, The Jewellery Channel, Der Schmuckkanal, The Jewelry Channel US) Derek has an ability to create professional music with the impact required in today’s world.From orchestral to contemporary, Derek has a unique understanding of how to fuse the many influences he has gained during his 3 years of music study at university. He even went on to complete a further Masters degree in music, being awarded a commendation for his composition portfolio (at the Royal Albert Hall in London).

This portfolio included a soundtrack to the NASA/Smithsonian museum animation OCEAN PLANET, an accompaniment for several GREENPEACE eco-documentaries and a work composed and performed by the critically acclaimed London chamber music group “The Fibonacci Sequence”.

Music Composition

For professional results, our rig contains over 5000Gb of storage with additional hard disk backup, Cubase 4, and the NVidia 8800Gtx 768Mb graphics card for quick OpenGL FX renders. Our audio setup runs on the Focusrite Saffire Pro 26i/o, the MAudio Delta 1010Lt and a Terratec Professional. MIDI by M-Audio midisport 8×8 and mixing by Mackie Control.
